Welcome to Nursery
Our nursery classroom is bright and spacious, making it an ideal environment to learn through purposeful play. The children are supported to take part in a wide range of learning experiences followed from the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. There are currently two members of teaching staff in the nursery, Miss Greaves and Mrs Desmond with Mrs Symth as the EYFS lead who overlooks the nursery too. Our children love to learn and our adults provide an inspiring environment where all children learn through play both indoors and outdoors. We aim high for academic success and model excellent behaviour to encourage the children to be the best they can be.
We use a secure, online Learning Journal called Tapestry to record photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, to build up a record of your child’s experiences during their time with us. This is an application of which you can access using a smartphone, therefore you are able to see what your child has been doing in Nursery and can add comments to the observations.
Our morning session is 8:30-11:30am and our afternoon session is 12-3pm.
We now offer 30 hours for those entitled to the funding. The times for the children with 30 hours are 9am-3pm and they are to bring their own packed lunch.
We would like to remind parents to label all items of their child’s clothing, especially jumpers and cardigans so that we can avoid lost clothing.
We are always grateful for clothing donations in Nursery for times when children need changing. With this being said, please bring spare clothes for your child in case of any little accidents!
